GetWebGrade is operated by Chenango Web Design LLC, a New York limited liability company. When this policy refers to "we," "us," or "our," it means Chenango Web Design LLC. GetWebGrade is intended for use by residents of the United States only.
2. Information We Collect
We collect two categories of information:
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
Business Listing Data
Business listings on GetWebGrade include publicly available information: business name, address, phone number, and website URL. This data is sourced from public business directories. We do not collect or store personal information about business owners such as personal email addresses or personal phone numbers.
Audit Data
When we audit a website, we automatically collect technical data about that website including page speed scores, SEO signals, SSL status, and other publicly visible technical attributes. We do not access any private or password-protected areas of any website.
Usage Data
We may collect basic server logs including IP addresses and pages visited for security and performance purposes. We do not use third-party analytics tracking at this time.
3. How We Use Your Information
- • To operate and provide the GetWebGrade service
- • To run automated website audits on submitted businesses
- • To authenticate and manage your account
- • To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
- • To improve the Service over time
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
- • Service providers: Our hosting provider processes data as part of normal server operations. They are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
- • Google PageSpeed API: Website URLs are sent to Google's PageSpeed Insights API to retrieve performance scores. Google's own privacy policy applies to this data.
- • Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
5. Public Business Listings
Business listings and audit results on GetWebGrade are publicly visible. If you represent a business listed on GetWebGrade and would like your listing corrected or removed, please contact us at hello@getwebgrade.com and we will process your request within 14 days.
6. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days. Business listing data may be retained independently of user accounts as it is sourced from public records. You may request deletion of any data we hold about you by contacting us directly.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including password hashing, HTTPS encryption in transit, and restricted server access. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.
8. Geographic Scope
GetWebGrade is operated from the United States and is intended for US residents only. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals in the European Union or other jurisdictions subject to the GDPR or similar data protection laws. If you are located outside the United States, please do not use this Service.
9. Children's Privacy
GetWebGrade is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
